A multiple vehicle accident on I-65 South at the 126-mile marker left three dead, one at the scene and two died after being transported by Greenville Firemedics and GEMS Ambulance Service to L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital.

At press time, the State Troopers had not released names of the victims or the cause of the accident.

Traffic was backed up for several hours as far north as the rest area. Deputy Russell Davis surveys the scene of the accident.
