The CenturyTel Pro-Law-Am Golf Tournament will be held Wednesday, June 30, at Cambrian Ridge Golf Course. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with tee-time at 1 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge no. 39, Safe Harbor and the Butler County Children’s Advocacy Center. The Greenville Waterworks and Sewer Board will publish its Consumer Confidence Report in the June 30th edition of The Greenville Advocate.
July 1
The Butler County Board of Education will hold a work session on Thursday, July 1, at 7 p.m. The meeting will be at the Butler County Board of Education.
July 2

July 3
Fun Day at Dunbar Park will be held July 3 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Activities include softball, horseback riding, sack races, basketball, bingo, step shows, tennis and plenty of refreshments. Kids under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
July 5
The City of Greenville will observe the Fourth of July Holiday on Monday, July 5. All city offices will be closed. If your garbage is scheduled for pickup Monday, it will be picked up Tuesday, July 6. All other routes remain the same.
July 15
The Butler County School System will offer a Substitute Teacher Training Session on Wednesday, July 14 from 9a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Board of Education Office. The training is mandatory for all persons who wish to substitute in the school system (new substitutes only). Call Amy Bryan for more information at 382-2665 ext. 1213.

Senior citizens, 60 years and older, may still receive a Farmers Market Coupon Booklet by application at the Nutrition Centers: Greenville Center, 903 Cedar Street; Georgiana Center, 306 N. Palmer Avenue, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon, Monday through Friday, until all booklets are issued. (There are household income limits that apply.) For more information call your local center.
The City of Greenville Planning Commission announces its intent to conduct monthly workshops in addition to the regular scheduled meeting. In the workshop the Commission will begin reviewing and discussing changes to the current City’s Comprehensive Plan. Also, the workshop will include a review of the agenda items for the next regular meeting on the first Monday on each month. The workshop will be held June 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall.
