Indians edge out Giants in slugfest

John Coleman Poole, Chip Taylor, Deaton Owens and JamiroQuan Crenshaw connected for three hits each to help lead the Mite League Indians to a 17-12 win over the Giants on Friday night.
Poole led the tribe with a double, two singles and scored three runs. Taylor, Owens and Crenshaw finished with three singles each and each scored three runs.
Chase Whiddon chipped in with a triple, single and scored two runs and Dillon Brown added two singles and scored one run.
Shane Holcombe led the Giants with three singles and scored three runs. Michael Meyers, Steiner Hamilton and Austin Norris finished with two hits each.

Chancelor Boweman slapped two singles, drove in three runs and scored once to lead the Mite League Dodgers to an 11-5 win over the Cardinals.
Caleb Skipper and Donte Lee finished with two hits and two RBI each in the win.
Avery Shipp led the Cards with two singles, an RBI and one run.
