It has been one year since we learned that Greenville would be home to a Tier One supplier after Hwashin announced it was coming here.

This news was big.

Let's face it.

It is not everyday that a city the size of Greenville learns a company is investing $70 million in its people and community.

In the annuals of automotive history, Greenville will forever be linked to cities of the past that made companies like Ford, Chrysler and General Motors strong.

Who would have known that when we all celebrated on March 16, 2003 at Greenville High School, that it would only be the beginning.

Just a few short weeks later, we learn that our city has been tapped yet again with a second supplier.

The fun doesn't stop there as in the past year, more and more visitors have come to Greenville looking to make their business home.

There are more suppliers still to announce where they'll land and we hope that at some point in the future, we can point to Hwashin and say they led the way.

Happy first anniversary Hwashin and may you have many, many more.
