The Georgiana Post Office recently paid tribute to customers with a Customer Appreciation Day.
Postal Service customers who visited the Georgiana Post Office Tuesday, Dec. 23, were surprised to receive homemade refreshments.
"Some were so pleased by the Customer Appreciation Day that they sent thank you' notes to us," Postmaster Saladin Anderson said.
The event also featured gifts for customers and door prize.
&uot;Our customers are very important to us,&uot; said Anderson. &uot;We just wanted to thank them. Customer Appreciation Day was our way of celebrating the relationship we have with our community.&uot;
Throughout the day, the post office offered its customers hot apple cider and home baked cookies. The office was decorated with a Christmas tree with all the holiday trimmings.
Many enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with other members of their community at the Post Office. &uot;The Post Office is an important part of this town,&uot; said Anderson. &uot;We’re proud to serve this community, and this gave us an opportunity to thank our customers. The day was a lot of fun, and we look forward to doing it again next year.&uot;
