The Fort Dale Eagles will host Cottage Hill of Mobile County Friday night barring a weather hazard.

The Eagles are coming off of their first win last week against Meadowview.

&uot;The win was good for our morale,&uot; said Coach Sampley. &uot;We're still trying to understand what we're doing out there. We've got to get our assignments right but we did a much better job last week.&uot;

Offensively, Sampley says they want to throw the ball more.

&uot;Ideally we should be throwing the ball 12 to 15 times a game. The rain was a limiting factor last week . . . It rained hard before that game and the field was real sloppy. I guess we had about four inches of rain,&uot; he said. &uot;Our offensive line is big for a private school though. They do a good job keeping the defenders off the quarterback.&uot;

Sampley says Cottage Hill likes to throw the ball. Last week, they threw the ball 32 times despite the rain, and completed 10 passes.

&uot;Last Friday we played better but we've still got a long way to go,&uot; said Sampley.
