Fort Dale defeats Hooper

The Fort Dale Eagles brought home three victories last week as they took on and defeated Hooper Academy and Mobile Christian. The girls won two; the boys won their only game.

On Jan. 4, Fort Dale traveled to Hooper Academy and the varsity boys came home with a 52-36 victory while the Lady Eagles brought home a close 37-33 win.

Leading the varsity Eagles offensively was Justin Pierce, with 12 points, and Brett Paulk and Andrew Hollis, who each contributed ten points to the effort. Josh Till racked up seven rebounds for the Eagles.

The varsity Eagles are now 9-3 for the season.

Ashley Paulk led the Ladies in scoring in their victory over the Hooper Lady Colts as she put eight points on the board for the Lady Eagles. Paulk also had 11 rebounds during the game. Marcey Adams contributed seven points and nine rebounds to the Lady Eagles' effort.

On Jan. 5, the Lady Eagles faced the Mobile Christian Lady Leopards and came out with another close-call victory with the final score 55-51.

Laura Skipper led in scoring with a 13-point total for the game while Brandi Hicks followed with 12 points. Marcey Adams had ten points and ten rebounds for the Lady Eagles.

The Ladies are now 8-4 for the season.

Fort Dale will host Meadowview Academy this Friday at 4 p.m.
