Fort Dale teams have busy week in basketball

Fort Dale suffered its first basketball loss of the season, falling to Monroe Academy Tuesday night, 56-48, at Monroe. The Eagles are now 5-1 for the season.

Leading the varsity Eagles in scoring was Brett Paulk with 20 points and Josh Till with 12. The Eagles held a 4-point lead going into the final quarter, but were out-scored 21-9 in the fourth, losing the game.

The Lady Eagles triumphed over Monroe Academy, with a final score of 31-27 in Tuesday night's game.

Leading the Ladies were Brandi Hicks, with 7 points, and Marcey Adams with 10 rebounds and 5 steals for the Lady Eagles.

The Ladies are currently 4-2 for the season.

Fort Dale defeated Sparta Academy Thursday night in Greenville, 51-30. The Eagles went into the half leading 35-19.

The Eagles were led in scoring by Brett Paulk, with 17 points and 6 assists, and Ty Langston, with 10 points and 8 steals. Josh Till had 8 rebounds for the Eagles.

The Eagles record is now 6 and 1 for the season.

The Lady Eagles defeated Sparta 67-47, with Ashley Paulk leading the team in scoring with 17 points. Marcey Adams, Frances Watts and Kimberley Hittel each contributed 10 points for the Ladies and Danielle Mitchell had 9 rebounds.

The boys and girls varsity teams will participate in the Faith Academy Christmas Tournament next Friday in Mobile.
