When the Tigers come out to the stadium this Friday night, it will be for the last home game of their season, as they host the Hillcrest-Evergreen Jaguars.
"They have a really good running back at Hillcrest," said Tigers Head Coach Alvin Briggs. "They'll run the ball good, and they also have a good tight-end n we are going to have to get a lot of people to the ball."
One thing that will affect Hillcrest is their injured players.
"Hillcrest has a lot of their key players out with injuries," Briggs said. "That will help us a bit."
Briggs said consistency will be the key to the Tigers' game plan this Friday.
"Offensively, we have got to be able to maintain consistency," he said. "We played hard last week, but our special teams gave up 18 points.
"Defensively we played well, but offensively, every time we got something going, it got dampened off by mistakes n we've got to get past those mistakes to get better."
Briggs said Hillcrest is a young team, and that will be another factor that should help the Tigers.
"They have one freshman, three sophomores and two seniors starting on their offensive line n it might have helped them if they had a junior or two, but they are very young."
Overall, Briggs said he has been pleased with his Tigers.
"We have come a long way this year, and we have a long way to go," Briggs said.
Kickoff at Tiger Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 Friday night.
