Tigers conquer Mustangs in triple overtime, 14-8

After four quarters of play, the Greenville Tigers and Stanhope-Elmore

Mustangs were tied at eight and headed for overtime. Three periods later, the Tigers were finally able to add the winning score, 14-8.

Head Coach Alvin Briggs said "They (Greenville) played hard against a good Stanhope-Elmore team, but with persistence and guts, we came through."

Horn added that he was very pleased with his offense's performance. "We played on their end of the field most of the night, and our defense kept us in the game."

Next week, the Tigers will take on Carol High School of Ozark at home.
