On Thursday, the Greenville Main Street promotions committee met to begin its plans for Oktoberfest, which is scheduled for October 27 in Confederate Park.
This will be Greenville Main Street's fourth year to host the event, which will feature arts and crafts, entertainment and plenty of fun for children of all ages.
"The idea behind Oktoberfest is to create an everlasting memory for residents of Greenville," said Tom Braxton, chairman of the promotions committee. "We just want to give an opportunity to artists to showcase their craftsmanship and their work."
"We just really want to create a further sense of our heritage as we celebrate the fall," said Greenville Main Street President Nancy Idland.
"This year we will have magic, music and lots of crafts," she said.
"We will have vendors of all sorts. Anyone can exhibit, but it will cost $25 for those who are not members of Main Street," said Idland.
