Landwehr takes MVP at AISA J.V. meet

Freshman Bryce Landwehr won the prestigious John P. Faircloth Most Valuable Player award during the Alabama Independent School Association Junior High School track meet held in Mobile, Ala. on Apr. 19.
Landwehr established three state records in the 100-meter dash, 110-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash.
He also placed second in the long jump and scored a total of 38 of a possible 40 points for an individual athlete.
Thomas Stabler recorded other standout performances, with a state record in the 400-meter dash and he came in second in the 400-meter dash.
The top performer for the Lady Eagles was Danielle Mitchell with a record long jump and fifth place in the 100-meter dash. Hope Stanford came in fifth in the 100-meter hurdles, Jamie Crowe was sixth in the 1600-meter run, and Francis Watts came in fifth in the high jump.
