Feature shines bright on county

Image Entry was the feature story on the latest edition of Alabama @ Work, which began airing Friday on Alabama Public Television.

What a breath of fresh air.

Television and Butler County do not generally concoct a positive dose of publicity, but this documentary of one of the county's newest industries certainly gives residents a reason to be proud. It's no surprise that Image Entry management cites the quality of the local workforce as one of the biggest attractions to Butler County. But with all the negativity in todays culture it is refreshing – to say the least – when the leaders of a firm like Image Entry say nice things about the county, and the folks that live here.

Butler County is an important piece in both the regional and state economic development puzzle, as both recover from an exodus of textile and forestry jobs and seek to become more diversified.

Image Entry, which processes income tax returns, is a perfect example of that diversification. Were glad the company is here.

The special will air again Sunday at 4 and 11 p.m.
