The 31 candidates for the 2001 Achiever Award were recently announced, and the winners will be announced at the Achiever Award ceremony May 3.

This project is worthy of support and attendance, and rewards one local boy and girl with a cash scholarship.

The winners will be selected by a panel of five judged from other parts of Alabama, and will be based on a criteria of academic achievement, sports participation and community involvement.
