Robbery matters in the hands of court

The Butler County Sheriff Office and Greenville Police Department each apprehended suspects in robbery cases this week. In fact, the departments cooperated in both investigations.

Now, it is time for the judicial system to take over.

Too often, those who commit violent crimes are given a "slap on the wrist" when it comes to bonds and sentencing.

In fact, the person arrested for the Max Mart South robbery is on probation for previous offenses, according to the Greenville Police Department.

Stopping the crime spree means stopping the revolving door in the judicial system through effective sentences.
