New Year's Day has come and gone, and we hope you had a chance eat a good helping of black-eyed peas, and reflect on the past year.

We also hope you had a chance to lay out some resolutions or goals for the coming year.

The Advocate staff is busy laying out its goals for the coming year, and many of them involve better and broader coverage of the happenings of Butler County.

There is a lot going on in Butler County – some good, some bad – and we plan to being it to you as we see it happen.

An important aspect of covering news with a small staff in a small county is community input. Be it a news tip or a letter to the editor, we encourage your input.
