Texas Governor George W. Bush is headed to the White House.

With Monday's decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to vacate an earlier decision by the Florida Supreme Court to extend the election deadline in Florida, and Circuit Judge N. Sanders Sauls' rejection of Al Gore's election challenge, Gore's chances are running slim.

Although the process has grown long, we admire those who have stood tall before the nation and done what they felt was right.
