In what was a heart-breaker for the Tigers, Greenville fell to Wilcox County on Friday night, with a final score of 40-22.

"We had some tremendous plays," said Head Coach Terry Moore. "We did, however, make three mistakes, and they each cost us hard, because Wilcox made big on them."

The Tigers' first score was when Terry Hawkins made a 50-yard run for a TD in the second quarter. It was followed by a William Phillips PAT.

Then, they scored again in the third quarter, when Timotheus Baity made a TD, followed by a two-point conversion by Phillips to Jeremy Womack.

Again the Tigers advanced, when Antonio Mack scored on a 40-yard-run, followed by another Phillips PAT, to make their score 22.

"We have the potential to make the playoffs, if we can get wins in the next two games," Moore said. "We have got to have the community support in the bleachers to do that."
