Congratulations to those elected to serve their communities.

Dexter McLendon, Betty Stinson and Lynn Watson have accepted quite a challenge, that comes with quite a responsibility. As mayors of Greenville, McKenzie and Georgiana, respectively, they are in a position to have a positive impact on their cities and towns.

McLendon and Stinson are new in the top job.

Several new council persons will take office soon. They, too, shoulder a tremendous opportunity, and responsibility.

We also applaud those who sought office, and came up short. Stay active, and make a difference in our communities. Thanks for your commitment.

to keep up the good work and to keep their standards high and their eyes looking far ahead. We encourage them to remember those they represent and to work with others inside and outside their communities. We encourage them to be mindful of their oath and we thank them for their willingness to serve.
