NGA/Hooters event puts us in spotlight

The NGA/Hooters Tour is coming to town. And with it comes yet another opportunity for Greenville citizens to showcase what makes our community special – the people.
Approximately 160 golfers are expected to compete for a $105,000 purse in the event, that will be staged at Gobbler Hollow Golf Club in early September, bringing with it an economic boomlet that will create a commercial surge in the local economy.
The players and their families will spend money while they're here, rest assured.
How can you help?
The Greenville Chamber of Commerce is seeking lodging for the visiting golfers, to duplicate the participation of local families who hosted many of the players and their families when NGA/Hooters played here two years ago.
The Chamber and Gobbler Hollow are also seeking 50 volunteers to help cater the players and the fans alike during the tournament.
This is a community effort that will pay dividends through increased visibility for our community and dollars being spent here.
Show your support for Greenville by lending a helping hand to effort to host the NGA/Hooters Tour.
