To all citizens of Butler County who voted in favor of the special referendum adding $45 to the court costs in Butler County we applaud you.

By voting in favor of this referendum, the voters of the county not only said "no" to a possible sales tax increase in the future, but also said "yes" to improvements to the county that the measure will provide funding for.

The county will now be able to build its much talked about jail and finance some capital improvement projects and take steps to improve economic development.

A vote for the measure was a vote for improvement, and improvement by its very nature is good. Congratulations Butler County.
