A special banquet was held to honor the 1999 Greenville High School Tigers' football squad on March 23 at the First Baptist Church on Fort Dale Road.

Players, cheerleaders, parents and special guests were in attendeance. Fairfield Mayor Larry Langford was the special speaker for the occassion.

A special award was given to the Tigers' 1999 head coach, Gene Allen, who has announced his resignation with the school after 15 years and two state championships.

This years' O.G. Holley Memorial award went to senior quarterback George Nick Autrey and Vincent Savage, who played defense and offense, was given the Terrell Memorial Award (M.V.P.).
