The holidays are all about spending time with mom, dad and all the relatives, but when a family member is hospitalized, finding time to enjoy each other's company can be difficult.

Jameson Inn hotels aross the Southeast have set up a program to help families who have a member hospitalized during the holidays. From Dec. 13 through Jan. 9, 2000, each Jameson Inn location will "make room at the Inn" for families requiring lodging to be near hospitalized relatives.

This year, Jameson Inn in Greenville will participate in the program for the first time and will provide one to two free rooms per night for use by L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital. More than 100 hospitals across the Southeast where Jameson Inn hotels are located also will benefit from the program.

Greenville Jameson General Manager Sam Ellis said the program is one way the hotel chain can give back to the community.

"This is a goodwill gesture to help people who need a place to stay for the holidays," she said. "It is a way for us to give back a portion of what the community has given us."

She said families requiring emergency lodging during the holidays can inquire about the Jameson Inn program at the hospital in which their loved ones are confined.

"L.V. Stabler will contact us about anyone who needs this service," she said. "And, we will provide up to two rooms for as long as

needed it through January 9."
