The GA Junior Football Varsity football team dropped its record to 1-1 Monday night as the Lowndes Academy beat the Tornadoes 32-18.
It was a case of too little too late for the Tornado offense which waited too long to get on the board.
Digger Kimbro led the Nado attack with 279 yards rushing and three touchdowns, which accounted for all the GA points.
He had three long runs, two of 70-yards and one of 90-yards to put the Nados on the board.
But, all the scoring came after halftime.
Bill Conway netted 28 yards for Greenville Academy and Andy Beck threw in 17 yards in the loss to the Rebels.
Defensively, Clay Beverly led the team with six tackles and four assists. Kimbro also played well defensively, with nine tackles and three assists.
Josh Burt threw in four tackles and seven assists while Dusty Gallahair also completed the evening with four tackles with 10 assists for the Nados.
The junior varsity Nados look to play their crosstown rivals at Fort Dale Academy next week.
