The Butler County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two suspects involved in a recent burglary.

Butler County Sheriff Kenny Harden said his office is looking for a man and a woman who have been connected to the theft of an Xbox and a 32-inch Panasonic television from a Mary Lane residence.

“We got a report of a burglary up in the north end of the county and found the door smashed in and the television and Xbox missing,” Harden said. “We believe the burglary happened sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Oct. 18.”

The BCSO has arrested Reco Johnson, 23, for his role in the burglary, but two suspects remain at large.

“We were able to connect the three to the burglary, and Reco Johnson turned himself in over the weekend, but we’re still looking for the other two,” Harden said.

According to Harden, Derick McMeans, 22, and Seqita Vonta McWilliams are wanted in connection with the burglary.

“We have warrants on them, and we believe they may be somewhere up around Fort Deposit,” he said.

Harden said all three will be charged with burglary, third degree, and theft of property, second degree.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of McMeans and McWilliams is asked to call the BCSO at (334) 382-6521.
