FDA Athletic Club hosting golf tournament

Published 12:36pm Wednesday, May 2, 2012

The Fort Dale Academy Athletic Club is hosting a four-person scramble May 12 at Cambrian Ridge.

The tournament serves as a fundraiser for the organization, which was created to support Fort Dale’s athletic programs. Last year’s event helped raise more than $7,000.

David Hancock, Sanders Hancock, David Brantley and Sam Star won last year’s tournament, which featured 13 teams.

The entry fee for this year’s tournament is $100 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, the use of a cart, range balls, the use of the practice green, lunch and a chance at door prizes. Golfers without a team can be assigned to a team.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, for closest to the pin and for the longest drive in both the men’s division and women’s division.

Hole sponsorships are also available for $100.

The registration deadline is May 9.
