Hands of Standard, LLC has ribbon cutting
Chasity Waters had her official ribbon cutting Monday morning in Georgiana of her new venture.
Waters is the owner of Hands of Standard, LLC, an adult sitter and transportation service. She currently has 10 employees in the sitter side of the business and one transportation van.
Waters said she worked in the healthcare industry for 22 years.
“Transportation has been a big problem. Elderly people need someone with them when they are at appointments and even though they may have kids, they are having to work,” she said.
The Hands of Standard will cover the areas of Butler and Lowndes County. Waters said that Medicaid will only pay for those to areas at the moment but she will travel out of area but cost will be paid out of pocket.
Waters said she chose the 11 of October for her debut because it was her mother’s 79th birthday and she wanted to honor her memory.
Waters plans to expand the transportation side of her business once she is off and running.
