Lurleen B Wallace sees a drop in enrollment numbers
Lurleen B Wallace Community College student enrollment has dropped for the spring semester.
Currently, LBW has 1,541 students and 13,997 credit hours, a 1.09 percent decrease in headcount from spring 2020. According to data collected by The National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, college enrollment for all types of higher education institutions saw a 2.9 percent decrease compared to last spring. Undergraduate enrollment saw a 4.5 percent decline across all institution types compared to enrollment data from last spring.
Despite the decline, anyone interested in attending LBW Community College is encouraged to register for the LBWCC Experience. Students may contact the Director of Student Success, Tori Norris, at 334.881.2215 or tnorris@lbwcc.edu with any registration questions.
Summer and Fall enrollment will open on April 12 for students with 30+ credit hours. All current students can begin registering for the Summer and Fall terms on April 19.
LBW is also offering a Buy One, Get One Summer Incentive.
The LBWCC Foundation established the grant to assist students during the summer 2021 semester. The grant will provide students the opportunity to take one three-credit-hour class paid for by the Foundation. The deadline to apply is April 30.
