Beatrice Riley, 101, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008 in Abilene, Tx. Chapel services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 10 am at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Cruikshank officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. prior to service.
She was born in Alabama on August 29, 1907. She married Marion H. Riley on June 25, 1925. She lived in Greenville, Alabama for over 20 years.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse from the 1950’s through the 1970’s. She was a graduate of St. Margaret’s School of Nursing in Montgomery. She lived in Birmingham, Alabama from the 1970’s through the 1990’s.
She moved to Abilene, Texas in 1999. She was preceded in death by her children: Frank Riley, Marion Riley, Mary Nell Buck, Helen Griffitts and Frances Koppersmith. She is survived by 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of the #197 Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church.
