Mr. Augustus “Gus” Murphy, Jr. age 86. A native of Greenville, AL and a former resident of Auburn, AL and Haines City, FL, current resident of Mobile, AL died on January 1, 2010 at a local hospital.
He was a 1941 graduate of Greenville High School, served in the U.S. Army (1942-1946) during World War II. He received his Pharmacy Degree in 1949 from Auburn University and was a Pharmacist in Greenville, AL and Haines City, FL until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Dorothy Murphy. He is survived by his children, Ron (Jeanie) Murphy of Theodore, AL, Drew (Karen) Murphy of Haines City, FL and Dottie (Tom) Eredetario of Winter Haven, FL; brother, Paul (June) Murphy of Cumming, GA; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
