A Celebration of Life Service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for Arthur Harold Powell, 89, of Greenville, who passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3. Burial followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The Rev. Herbert Brown officiated. A Gathering of Family and Friends was held from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday, Oct. 5.

His wife, Virginia Brown Powell, preceded Harold in death.

Survivors include, his wife, Janell Powell of Greenville; sons, Larry (Clarine) Powell of  Birmingham, and Lanier (Gail) Powell and Lynn (Charlene) Powell, all of Greenville; brother, Wendell Powell of Greenville; nephew, Robert (Bob) Powell of Greenville; grandchildren, Griffin Powell, Lance Powell and Lauren Powell; stepchildren, Robin (Bruce) Lovett and Cindy Bender; step grandchildren, Chelsea Lovett and Austin Lovett, and step great grandchild, Jax Lovett.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Fund, 10202 McKenzie Grade Rd., Greenville, AL 36037.
