Ralph C. Thompson, 93, born in Rainsville, Ala., and a resident of Bay Minette, Ala., died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at North Baldwin Infirmary. He was a retired agent for the Baldwin County Extension Service for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Mona Richey Thompson of Bay Minette, Ala.; his children, Jan Thompson (Michael) Autrey of Greenville, Ala., and William R. (Lanette) Thompson of Tulsa, Okla.; one brother, Henry LeLone Thompson of Rainsville, Ala.; three grandchildren, Lauren C. McDaniel, Alexandra (Shelby Powers) Thompson and Williams Richey Thompson Jr.; and three great grandchildren, Candler McDaniel, Parker McDaniel and Andrew McDaniel.

Graveside services and burial will be held Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Bay Minette Cemetery with Reverend Jay Cooper officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Methodist Church Children’s Home; the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 338, Bay Minette, AL 36507 or to the charity of your choice.

Pallbearers will be William R. Thompson, Jr., Henry L. Thompson, Craig Helms, Donnie Payne, Jim Wurst, Aldo Edwards, Roy McByars, Don Pentelton and Wrenn Harper.
