Mr. Henry Louis Brown, 87, a resident of Luverne, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at New Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. William Leverette officiating.

Interment will follow in New Ebenezer Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Brown was an avid guitar player and once played in a band with country music legend Hank Williams, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Brown, and his parents, Virgil and Ila Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby J. Brown; three sons, Larry (Virginia) Brown, Gary (Jo Ann) Brown, and Cary Scott (Linda) Brown; eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, from 1 p.m. until service time.
