Greenville Police are asking for the public’s help in the search for a man who allegedly robbed Regional Finance on Monday.

According to Capt. Justin Lovvorn, a black male entered the business at approximately 6 p.m. He pulled a gun and demanded money from the employees.

“The employees gave him an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled on foot,” Lovvorn said.

After employees called 911, officers responded to the scene and investigators were able to collect several items of evidence, which have been submitted to the state’s forensics lab.

A canvas of the area also turned up a vehicle that authorities believe may be connected to the robbery.

“We are attempting to locate a dark tan BMW SUV,” Lovvorn said. “It is in relatively good condition. It was parked in the same parking lot that Regional Finance is located in at the time of the robbery.”

Anyone who may have seen this vehicle or have any information about the case is asked to call the Greenville Police Department at (334) 382-7461 and ask for an investigator.
