Luverne and Brantley fire departments responded to a house fire on Old Brantley-Luverne Highway Monday afternoon.

The call came in at 1:07 p.m. Brantley Fire Chief Harry Driggers said there were no injuries.

The fire was contained to the home’s kitchen area.

“Someone left a pot of grease on the stove,” he said. “But there was very little damage.”
