Billy McCartey, 68, a resident of McKenzie, Ala., passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ertis Lee officiating. Burial followed in South Butler Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., directed arrangements. Billy was preceded in death by a son, William Wayne (PeeJoe) McCartey. Survivors include wife, Jean McCartey of McKenzie, Ala.; sons, Stacey McCartey of McKenzie, Ala., Russell McCartey of Columbiana, Ala., Steven McCartey of Birmingham, Ala., and Ronnie McCartey of McKenzie, Ala.; sister, Juanita Becton of Mobile, Ala.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Online condolences can be made at www.johnsongeorgiana.com
