A Butler County man has been arrested after authorities found marijuana and cocaine in his Kolb City Road home.

According to Butler County Sheriff Kenny Harden, officers with the Second Judicial Drug Task Force found two pounds of marijuana and an ounce of crack cocaine in the home of Paul Douglas Marsh on Wednesday.

Marsh, of 156 Kolb City Rd., has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, fist degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and attempting to elude a law enforcement officer.

Harden said authorities were working on a tip that Marsh might possibly be dealing drugs.

“Members of the Task Force attempted to make a traffic stop on Marsh after he violated a traffic law, and at that point he tried to elude the officers before finally stopping,” Harden said. “When he did stop on down the road, they found dope on him, so we obtained a search warrant for his home where we found more drugs.”

According to Harden, the Second Judicial Drug Task Force, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office and the Greenville Police Department participated in the arrest.
