Woody L. Burkett, 81, a resident of Georgiana, Ala., died on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Stephenson and Mallory Wheat officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing arrangements. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Mr. Burkett is survived by his wife, Lois Burkett, Georgiana, Ala.; sons, Dyrle Burkett, Seminole, Fla., and Dale Burkett, Georgiana, Ala.; brother, Stanley Burkett, Georgiana, Ala.; grandsons, Kevin Burkett, Seminole, Fla., and Cameron Burkett, Georgiana, Ala.; granddaughter, Cassie Burkett, Georgiana, Ala.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
