Marvin Earl Thompson Jr., age 79, a resident of Greenville, AL, died on Friday, May 14, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010, from the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Sexton officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Etta Mae Thompson, wife, Elnora Skinner Thompson, sisters, Voncile Wade and Nell Brantley. He is survived by his daughter, Wanda Wacha of Greenville, AL, step-children, Louie Mathieu of Luverne, AL, Jane (Elvis) Allred of Jasper, AL, grandchildren, Jessica (Adam) English of Greenville, AL, Elizabeth Wacha of Greenville, AL, Kellie Denny of Jasper, AL, Kerrie Pirkle of Jasper, AL, Crystal (Jamie) Purvis of Greenville, AL, six great-grandchildren, brother, Dean (Annette) Thompson of Greenville, AL, and special nieces and nephews.
