Mr. James Douglas “Doug” Harrison, age 75, died at his home on Thursday, June 6. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, at Antioch East Baptist Church with Reverend Blair McBride and Reverend Ronnie Boulware officiating, beginning at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time for fellowship and visitation. Burial will follow at Antioch East Baptist Church Cemetery with Dunklin Funeral Home directing.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Frank and Thelma Jewel Young Harrison. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Marsha Wright Harrison; sons, Jason Douglas (Rhonda) Harrison and James Kevin (Amanda) Harrison; grandsons, Dawson Bentley Harrison and William Alexander Harrison, along with many other cherished family and friends.
Doug, so lovingly called “Daddy Doug” by his family, was a salt of the earth type of man. He held close to his heart his savior, his family, his country, and his family land that has been passed down through generations. He enjoyed cattle farming, woodworking and fishing in his spare time. His passing truly leaves a void. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
