On June 1, the Greenville Police Department responded to a workplace incident at Hwashin American Corporation, located on Montgomery Highway in Greenville. Police Chief Justin Lovvorn confirmed that a female associate sustained a non life threatening arm injury.

Lovvorn said his office believes the incident to be an accident and does not expect to pursue an investigation.

“We would only continue our involvement if there was some kind of crime or criminal negligence but that doesn’t seem to be the case here,” Lovvorn said. “This seems like it was just a terrible accident.”
