Billy Croley was born Sept. 12, 1939, to Hilary George Croley and Clemmie Lee Williams Croley.  He graduated from Greenville High School and Baptist Bible Institute (Graceville, Florida).  He proudly served in the United States Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Billy served as a pastor of numerous churches in Butler County, as well as in Conecuh County and Randolph County, Georgia. Besides his pastoring, and holding a public job, Billy was always engaged in some form of agriculture.   Around 1989, Billy quit his public job, put his knowledge of agriculture to use and established B & B Nursery.  He soon became known for producing quality plants and especially outstanding ferns.  He closed the nursery in 2015 because of health issues.
