The Greenville Rotary Club is gearing up for its fifth annual Crawfish Boil, set to take place at the Butler County fairgrounds on Apr. 20 from 5 to 9 p.m. The highly anticipated event offers attendees all-you-can-eat crawfish, Conecuh sausage, corn and potatoes for $35 per person.

One of the highlights of the evening will be live entertainment provided by the talented acoustic duo Two of a Kind, featuring local musician Rosie Till on vocals and guitarist Curk Mosley. The pair will cover everything from southern rock to country classics with a bit of modern country mixed in.

“We just love to promote local,” Till remarked. “We’ve done the fair and Cityfest and June Jam for the chamber. Anything for the community. We like to see people promoting Greenville.”

Till added, “We have fun with it and we love crowd participation so if anyone wants to join in….”

Rotary club member David Norell emphasized the event’s significance in supporting the local community.

“Right now, we have about ten or 12 projects that we sponsor, and all the proceeds go back into the community,” Norell explained. “We usually have about 200-250 people attend, so it’s always a good crowd. It’s a great opportunity to get together in fellowship, enjoy each other’s company, and eat some good food.”

The Crawfish Boil serves as a key fundraising event for the Greenville Rotary Club, enabling them to contribute to various local causes throughout the year. Recent beneficiaries of the club’s donations include the Greenville Area Arts Council, the Greenville-Butler County Library and the 27th Natural Resources Youth Camp. With its winning combination of delicious food, live music and community spirit, the Crawfish Boil promises to be a night to remember.

Tickets are available for purchase at Camellia Communications or through any Rotary club member. Please note that this event is for those 21 and older.
