The Greenville Police Department (GPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent business robbery. The incident took place on Friday, Feb. 2 around 6:27 pm in the 700 block of South Conecuh Street. 

According to GPD Investigators, the suspect entered the business, brandished a black firearm, and demanded money before fleeing with an unspecified amount of cash.

Police Chief Justin Lovvorn described the robbery as a brief event, stating that it took less than a minute from start to finish. 

“We got the call about 6:30 p.m. that an individual had entered the location on South Conecuh Street and demanded money using a handgun,” Lovvorn said. “He was in and out and left on foot.”

The suspect, described as a male, was wearing a green hooded windbreaker, a black stocking cap, white athletic shoes, and black pants. Additionally, he had Band-Aids on each cheek, potentially concealing facial tattoos or scarring.

“We’re thinking this is either a light-skinned black male or a white male. We got some physical evidence at the scene and we’re waiting on forensics,” Lovvorn said.
