Food for Fines

During November, the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library will waive $1 in fines per donated canned or boxed food for the area food banks. Food must be non-perishable and unexpired. Call 382-3216 for more information.
The Butler County Humane Society will host Kitty Palooza and Pics with Pets, for your furry loved ones to take pictures with Santa (cost is $20), on December 2 from 10a.m. to 2p.m. at Sonya’s Dance Studio downtown. For more info call 334-437-2150.
A free Holiday Street Fest will be held in the streets of downtown Georgiana on Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Board of Education will host a luncheon in honor of the retired employees of the School Systems on Dec. 13 at 11:30 a.m. in the Central Office Boardroom at 949 Oglesby Street in Greenville.
