The Butler County Democrat Executive Committee has announced qualifying dates for the upcoming 2024 election cycle. Candidates interested in running for office as a Democrat during the 2024 election may qualify beginning Monday, Oct. 7 through Friday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. by contacting the County Chair to file a declaration of candidacy and pay the appropriate fees.    

The Primary Election is set for March 5, 2024. The General Election is set for Nov. 5, 2024. 

The committee announced the following positions for the March primary election.

• Probate Judge, salary at $99,385.26, qualification fee $1,987.71;
• County Commissioner for Districts 1 and 4-5, salary at $28,401 with qualification fee $568.02; and
• Board of Education, salary at $7,200, qualification fee $144.00.
