The Fort Dale Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) met Sept. 19 at the Greenville Country Club for their annual Constitution Week program. Caroline Gafford was installed as a member of the National Society by Chaplain Denise Taylor. The program included a quiz on historical events leading up to the Constitutional Convention and the role of its various delegates. Claudia Lewis was the prize winner with the most correct answers. The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution urges Americans to reflect on the United States Constitution during this month’s annual observance in honor of this foundational document of national governance.
