The Greenville-Butler County Ministerial Association lifted up public prayers on May 3 in observance of the National Day of Prayer. The event took place at the steps of City Hall and included prayers for family, churches, businesses, education, the military, first responders, entertainment and media, and government. The prayers were led by community members from area churches. “This shouldn’t be the only day we pray for our community,” Butler County Ministerial Association President Allen Stephenson said. “We should pray every day for our community.” The event concluded with the singing of “Oh how I Love Jesus” led by Carolyn Griffin.
