She has voluntarily supplied snacks and cool drinks for her team members over the years. Having worked in her most recent position as a Vat Infeed Operator, Simpson has been deemed a critical piece of the Coastal team. Fellow team members view her as one that will be sorely missed.

Plant Manager, Billy Cruse shared, “It’s because of dedicated team members like Ms. Bertha that we have a job today.  Her ethic and commitment has helped to pave the way for many of us in this room.”

When asked what were her plans for retirement, Simpson responded, “To do nothing!”
