LBW Community College has announced the hiring of Ms. Chrissie Duffy for the position of Director of Institutional Advancement, a division of the College responsible for further public understanding and recognition of the goals and missions of the institution, foundation relations, and fundraising efforts.
“Ms. Duffy brings a comprehensive set of skills fine-tuned to the LBW service area,” said LBW President, Dr. Brock Kelley.
Duffy most recently served as the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, where she spent the past eight years managing an extensive membership network and crafting initiatives with government and industry partners to benefit the business community.
One of Duffy’s highly-recognized achievements is the creation of the Christmas in Candyland project that brought in thousands of visitors annually and achieved record sales tax revenue. Also during her chamber career, she increased membership by 41 percent with a collective investment in community events of over 200 percent.
“I look forward to creating impactful advancement initiatives with lasting influence on both the College and community,” Duffy said.
Duffy will begin her new role at the College on February 9, 2021.
